Cast-iron and steel tubbings for shafts of Usolskiy potash complex (Russia)

PROJECT GOAL

In 2012-2013  the contract to supply both high-strength cast-iron tubbings (diameter 7-8m) and cast steel lined-up tubbings TSF (diameter 6-9m) has been concluded.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 

Development of Verkhnekamskoye minefield located in Perm Region, the traditional location of potash raw materials extraction in Russia, is the second potash project of Mineral-chemical company "EuroChem", JSC. EuroChem stands for EuroChem – Usolskiy potash complex. The license for development of the potash deposit has been purchased by EuroChem at the auction in 2008. The mining depth is 350-400 m, estimated minefield capacity is 12.6 mil. Tonnes of sylvinite ore annually. 

 

 

 The most important part of the construction are mining works at the facility under construction. Opening-up of the mine is design by means of three shafts 7 and 8 meters in diameter.

  • Shaft No.1 – cargo-carrying (diameter 7 м);
  • Shaft No.2 – ventilation (diameter 8 m);
  • Shaft No.3 – personnel/cargo-carrying (diameter 7m).

Shaft sinking was started in December 2011.
