Reduction gearboxes

Reducer is a mechanism for transmitting and transformation the torque.Reducer consists of tooth wheels or gears and metal case (cast iron or welded steel). The variety of reducer usage areas caused plenty of its design types.

Reducers are classified by several criteria: by gear type (tooth, worm or tooth-worm), the number of steps (one-step, two-step, three-step), type of tooth wheels (cylindrical, conical, worms) and the placement of input and output reducer shafts (horizontal, vertical). When selecting the reducer the nature of the external load and its dynamics, required torque on the output shaft, rotating speed of input and output shafts, duration of daily work and start frequency (so-called use factor) is considered.

The company manufactures the following types of reducers: cylindrical horizontal and vertical reducers one-, two- and three-step; worm one-step reducers; combined reducers: conical – cylindrical, two- and three-step, worm- cylindrical four-step; special, including the reducers on the Customer's drawings.

Cylindrical reducer is used for torque transfer between parallel or axle shafts. These reducers heave great efficiency factor (0,94…0,98 in a single step) and a significant durability.

Conical reducer is used for torque transfer between crossing (generally at a right angle) shafts. Their efficiency factor is slightly less (0,9…0,96 in a single step).

Worm reducer is used for torque transfer between skewing (generally at a right angle) axes. One of the significant advantages of worm reducers is a possibility to get great gear ratio in a single step (up to 80 in the reducers of general-purpose and up to several hundreds in the special reducers). These reducers have high running smoothness and noiseless in use with self-locking at certain gear ratio, that allows to exclude brake devices of the driving.

Combined reducer is a reducer with different combinations of gear types: conical – cylindrical, worm- cylindrical, cylindrical -worm.
